DIFFICULTIES FACED BY RIDERS REGARDING QUARANTINE PROTOCOLWHILE IMPORTING EQUESTRIAN SPORTS HORSES
Dear Sir/Madam,
1. Please refer Annual General Body Meeting 2015 held on 27 Sep 2015 in which a point was raised by riders regarding difficulties faced pertaining to Quarantine protocol while importing equestrian sports horses.
2. Subsequently a case was taken up by QMG’s Branch with concerned authorities regarding difficulties faced by our riders in importing quality horses and suggestions of this federation to ameliorate the difficulties of athletes of equestrian sports (copy of DO letter attached).
3. Letter received from Joint Secretary, Govt of India, Min of Agriculture dated 30 Nov 2015 is attached for your comments and suggestions vide which it states that there are no complaints from any of the importers of sports horses on these aspects. Photocopy of letter forwarded to Joint Secretary, Govt of India, Min of Agriculture by Directorate General of Remount Veterinary is also attached for your reference.
4. An early reply by return mail would be appreciated so that case can be again taken up with concerned authorities.
