1. As per the Para 5 of Article 032 of EFI Statute the proposed calendar / first draft was approved by the EC on 06th Apr 2018 and was promulgated in the EFI Website.

2. Post promulgation no suggestion/ comments were received from any members till 30 Jun 2018 however a request was recd from EIRS, Bangalore vide their mail dated 23 Apr 2018 to hold NEC 2017-18 wef 27 Aug to 01 Sep 2018.

3. Accordingly necessary amendment was carried out in the proposed EFI Calendar and was forwarded to all EC Members through mail for their approval initially by 11 Jun 2018 and later by 10 July 2018.

4. Further two bids were received from EIRS, Bangalore and Tollygunge Club, Kolkata for hosting JNEC 2018, which were sent to Bid Evaluation Committee members for their consideration. All the three members of Bid Evaluation Committee recommended the Tollygunge Club, Kolkata as the venue for JNEC 2018 with an aim to revive equestrian activity in Eastern India as no event was allotted to Kolkata for a long time.

5. Thereafter, the final proposed EFI Calendar was prepared and promulgated in the EFI website on 12 Jul 2018.

6. Post promulgation representation on dates of NEC 2017-18 and venue of JNEC was recd from certain quarters. Accordingly, the President directed VP (Adm), VP (Vet) and Secy Gen, EFI to review the EFI Calendar 2018-19 after taking into account the representation received from members. The changes recommended by them are as under :-

(a) NEC - (2017-18) which was scheduled wef 27 Aug to 01 Sep 2018 may be changed as per the following option

(i) Option-I. Splitting the NEC into North & South Zone (as an one time exception) either in the month of Oct or Nov to avoid unnecessary movement of horses.

(ii) Option-II. The NEC be conducted at one place at Delhi during Nov along with Delhi Fall Horse Show.

(b) JNEC 2018 be allotted to Kolkata to promote the sport in all the region and to maintain the National character of Sport and Federation.

7. The final proposed calendar is enclosed as Annexure which will be further discussed during the Executive Committee meeting on 14th Aug 2018.
