A mail received from Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI) with respect to MER status of Horses which have participated in CCI1* in 2018 is placed for information of all.

Dear Colonel Swain,
A CCI1* in 2018 in now a CCI2* as all levels have been shifted since 1st January 2019.
Following this update, if a rider obtained a MER in 1* in 2018, it counts like a MER in 2* in 2019.
Should you have any doubt, please let me know the horse and rider combination and I can check the qualification.
